An experienced lesson horse, with a professional instructor, at a quiet
barn in Blair, NE. Specializing in beginners and those with fear issues.
Dear friends, family, clients, and students;
After much consideration and prayer, I've come to the conclusion that some changes are necessary. I have discovered that since my back surgery and the ongoing, lengthy healing process, it has become increasingly difficult to stand all day, to walk in the arena sand, and be constantly changing out saddles. I simply can no longer maintain the level of physical activity that I once could. For this last year I have had to hire somebody to ride Prince in order to keep him in shape for lessons and showing, but unfortunately I cannot continue to do this. For these reasons I will be phasing out lessons with Prince.
The future of Cross C is still in the planning stages, however, it does look bright. I will continue with equine consulting, assisting with buying/selling horses, and riding lessons with those that own their own horse/horses. I'm planning to continue on this summer with an official closing date of Oct. 1st, 2010. As part of our need for change and rest, for the remainder of this summer, all lessons will be "cash only", no lessons on Sunday (Horse shows are the only exception), and no lessons after 5pm on weekdays. Please schedule your lessons as soon as possible as I am sure we will fill up very fast. Regretfully, there will be no more Play Days or a Cross C Horse Show in the fall. Prince will be glad for the semi-retirement. He has worked very hard as a lesson horse and deserves this new chapter in his life. I'm not at liberty to divulge his new owners, but he will be sold Oct. 1st. He will be joining a wonderful family that love him dearly, and will continue to board at Carla's.
If I can be of assistance in helping you find a new riding instructor for the upcoming 2011 riding season, I will be happy to do so. I have enjoyed my time with all of my past and present students and will be forever grateful for meeting all of you.
Most Sincerely,
Janet and Prince
